1,Description:
Calcium chloride 94%, a salt composed of chlorine and calcium elements, with the chemical formula CaCl2. Colorless cubic crystal, white or grayish white, in the form of granules, honeycomb blocks, balls, irregular granules, or powders.
Slightly toxic, odorless, and slightly bitter in taste. It is a typical ionic halide and is a white solid at room temperature.
Extremely hygroscopic and prone to deliquescence when exposed to air. It is easily soluble in water and emits a large amount of heat, resulting in a slightly alkaline aqueous solution. Soluble in alcohol, and acetic acid. React with ammonia or ethanol to generate CaCl28NH3 and CaCl24C2H5OH, respectively.
2, Applications:
1. Petroleum drilling, drilling fluid, completion fluid, petrochemical dehydration fluid.
2. Desiccants, such as for drying gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, etc.
3. Snow melting agent, which utilizes the properties of calcium chloride melting and heat dissipation, as well as low freezing point, to make road deicing and snow melting agents.
4. Dehydrating agent, used as a dehydrating agent in the production of alcohols, esters, ethers, and acrylic resins.
5. Refrigerant and calcium chloride aqueous solution are important refrigerants used in refrigerators and ice making,
6. Antifreeze agents can accelerate the hardening of concrete and increase the cold resistance of building mortar, making them excellent building antifreeze agents.
