Appearance and Properties of Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC)
• Appearance: Solid poly aluminium chloride (PAC) typically appears as white, light yellow, or dark brown powders or granules. Liquid PAC is a colourless or light yellow transparent solution.
• Density: The relative density of PAC is greater than 1.20. The exact value depends on the product's concentration and degree of hydration.
• Stability: PAC is relatively stable. However, its stability decreases with increasing basicity. Stabilizers are often added to enhance its stability.

Applications
• Municipal Wastewater Treatment: In municipal wastewater treatment plants, polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is used as a coagulant. It can rapidly aggregate suspended solids and colloidal substances in wastewater into larger flocs, which then settle down, thereby purifying the water quality
• Industrial Wastewater Treatment: PAC is widely used in the treatment of various types of industrial wastewater, such as textile wastewater, leather wastewater, papermaking wastewater, fluoride-containing wastewater, and heavy metal wastewater. These wastewaters often contain a large amount of refractory organic matter and heavy metal ions. Through the coagulation action of PAC, these pollutants can be effectively removed.
• Specific Industry Wastewater Treatment: In coal washing plants, PAC is used for water purification and coal sludge recovery during the coal washing process. In stone processing plants, PAC is used for the purification of wastewater generated from stone cutting and grinding.
