  Easily soluble in water (1g/1.5ml, 25 ℃ or 1g/0.5ml boiling water). Insoluble in ethanol. It has reducibility. Toxic gases are released by high-temperature decomposition. In the laboratory, it can be obtained by reacting copper sulfate solution with iron. Weathering occurs in dry air. It is easy to oxidize into brown yellow alkaline iron sulfate that is difficult to dissolve in water in humid air. A 10% aqueous solution is acidic to litmus (with a pH value of approximately 3.7). Heat to 70-73 ℃ to lose 3 molecules of water, 80-123 ℃ to lose 6 molecules of water, and above 156 ℃ to transform into basic iron sulfate.
