Introduction To Products:
Molecular weight :126.04
Properties: This product is white crystal or powder; Odorless.
It is easily soluble in water.
Dissolved in water (0℃, 12.54g/100ml water; 28.3g/100ml water at 80℃), the highest solubility at 33.4℃ is about 28g, the aqueous solution is alkaline, PH value is about 9~9.5.
Slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in liquid chlorine, ammonia.
It is easy to be oxidized into sodium sulfate in the air, and decompose into sodium sulfide at high temperature.
To strengthen the reducing agent, react with sulfur dioxide to form sodium bisulfite, react with strong acid to form corresponding salt.
Applications:
It is used as a catalyst in the addition stage of urea-formaldehyde resin synthesis.
Protect oxygen-sensitive materials as a reducing agent.
Also used as antioxidant, antioxidant, neutralizer.
