Description:
1. Sodium sulfite is white gravel or powder crystal.
2. Soluble in water, aqueous solution is alkaline. Slightly soluble in alcohol.
3. It is easy to oxidize in humid air or sunlight, forming sodium sulfate. It has strong reducibility. Decomposition by acid releases sulfur dioxide.
Applications:
1.Used as bleaching agent,preservative,loosening agent and antioxidant in food industry.It is also used in pharmaceutical synthesis and as a reducing agent in the production of dehydrated vegetables.
2.It used as dye reducing agent in the smelting of various cotton fabrics to improve the products' whiteness.the textile industry is used as a stabilizer for man-made fibers.
3.The paper industry is used as a lignin remover.
4.The electronics industry is used to manfacture photoresistors.Used as a developer in photosensitive industry.
5.The water treatment industry is used for electroplating wastewater,drinking water trestment,etc.
6.Used as a reducing agent in the organic industry is in production to prevent the oxidation of semi-finished products during the reaction process.
7.Used to produce cellulose sulfite,sodium thiosulfate.
