1.Description:
Aluminum sulfate is a white crystal with a specific gravity of 1.69 (AL2 (SO4) •18H2O). It is stored in the air for a long time and is easy to absorb moisture. Dehydration temperature is 86.5 degrees Celsius, soluble in water, acid and alkali, insoluble in alcohol, aqueous solution is acidic.
2.Applications:
Curing agent (oil, water and other miscellaneous use, used for paper making, water purification, and used as mordant, tanning agent, pharmaceutical astringent, wood preservative, foam fire extinguishing agent, etc., used in the production of artificial gems and advanced ammonium alum. Analytical reagent, mordant, water repellent, oil decolorizing agent.
Soluble in water can make the water fine particles and natural colloids condensed into large flocculent, so as to remove from the water, so used as water supply and wastewater coagulant.
Used as turbid water purification agent, also used as precipitating agent, fixing agent, filler, etc. It is used in cosmetics as raw material for sweat suppressing cosmetics (astringent).
