                   Diammonium phosphate refers to the standard product containing 18% N, 48% P2O5, with a crystalline form of flat-rhombic prismatic crystals. Its solubility in water at 25 ° C is 71%, and the pH of its saturated solution reaches 8, which is much higher than that of monoammonium phosphate. Diammonium phosphate can be produced by reacting phosphate rock powder in an excess of NH, F solution, with a pH of 6 to 7 and a temperature of 100 degrees. However, most factories adopt the process flow developed by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in the United States, that is, using ammonia to neutralize mixed phosphoric acid (containing two concentrations of P2A, 30% and 54%), pre-neutralizing by controlling the molecular ratio of ammonia to phosphoric acid at around 1.4, and further controlling the molecular ratio of ammonia to phosphoric acid at 2. Diammonium phosphate is prepared by introducing ammonia vapor and maintaining the pH of the solution above 7.5. Because the saturated solution of diammonium phosphate is alkaline, when applied to acidic soil, it can reduce the fixation of phosphorus by iron and aluminum, keeping phosphorus highly available. Therefore, it is recommended to use diammonium phosphate on acidic soil.
