Product Description
What is magnesium chloride hexahydrate?
Magnesium chloride hexahydrate, also known as water chloride, has a chemical formula of MgCl2 · 6H2O and a molecular weight of 203.3. Colorless crystal, in the form of a column or needle, with a bitter taste, with a white appearance in the form of flakes, granules, or powders. It is easily soluble in water and ethanol, and is prone to deliquescence in high humidity. Hot melt decomposition at 116-118 ℃. Mixing with magnesium oxide and water forms magnesium cement, which is widely used in the production of magnesite materials. React with hydroxides of alkali metals or alkaline earth metals.

Usage
1.Food industry
It's a protein coagulant. Tofu made with brine (food grade magnesium chloride aqueous solution) is tender in quality and fresh in taste compared with that made withgypsum, and is also used as an additive in some foods.
2.Metallurgical industry
It is used as an adhesive in the manufacture of refractories and furnaces, and as araw material in the manufacture of flux II and in the smelting of magnesium.
3.Chemical industry
Mainly used in the production of various magnesium salts, such as magnesium oxide,magnesium hydroxide, magnesium carbonate, firecrackers solid primer, also used as antifreeze raw materials.
4.Building materials (building materials board)
With MgO made of hard corrosion resistant magnesia cement, can be made into artificial marble, clay tile, floor, ceiling, decorative board, fire board, greenhouse support, inorganic glass steel greenhouse skeleton, magnesia insulation chicken coop, corrugated color tile, ventilation duct, partition board, magnesia manhole cover, bathtub, door and window frame and mobile house. Used as antifreeze in winter construction.
5.Machinery industry
In daily life, it can be made into mechanical packing boxes, triangle cushion edges and furniture, etc., which is a good material for "substituting materials with soil".
6.Transportation industry
Used as road ice melting agent, ice speed, less corrosive to vehicles, higher than sodium chloride effect.
7.Medicine (pharmaceutical grade do not do)
"Dried brine" made from magnesium chloride can be used for medicinal purposes.
8.Agriculture
Can be used to make magnesium fertilizer, potassium magnesium fertilizer and cotton defoliator.
